Your conversations

When you click export, Ownchats reads the one conversation open in your tab, using your existing signed-in session on chatgpt.com or claude.ai. It turns it into a file inside your browser. Conversation text, titles, images and files are never sent to ingijy or anyone else. Ownchats does not run in the background, does not read other tabs and does not send messages.

Archive files you open (ChatGPT or Claude data exports) are read in the browser tab and discarded when you close it.

What is stored on your computer

Your settings, the number of free Word and PDF exports used, and, if you buy Pro, your license key and a random installation ID. The conversation you are previewing is kept briefly in the extension’s local storage so the preview and print pages can open it; the 20 most recent are kept, then removed.

What reaches ingijy

Only license checks: when you activate Pro and about once a week after that, Ownchats sends your license key and the random installation ID to ingijy.com, which asks our payment provider, Creem, whether the key is valid. Purchases are processed by Creem as merchant of record under its own privacy policy. If you join the launch email list, we store your email address until we send that one email, then delete it.

Ownchats has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
