How to make a step-by-step guide from screenshots

  1. Do the task once and take a screenshot at each step (Win+Shift+S on Windows, Cmd+Shift+4 on Mac).
  2. Paste each one here, or drop them all at once.
  3. Write one short instruction per step, starting with a verb: "Click Save", "Choose the April invoice".
  4. Reorder with the arrows, add a title, then download Word to keep editing or save a PDF to share.

Black out passwords, emails and customer data before you take the screenshot; this tool does not edit images.

Questions

Are my screenshots uploaded?

No. The page reads your images in this browser tab, builds the Word file here and never sends your images anywhere; the only network request is an anonymous page-view count (no cookies). Closing the tab clears everything.

What does the Word file look like?

A4 pages with your title, numbered step headings, your notes and one screenshot per step, scaled to the page width. Everything stays editable in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.

Is there a limit?

Up to 60 steps per guide. Large screenshots are scaled to 1600 pixels wide to keep the file small.
